KIDS COATS AT CHRISTMAS HUGE SUCCESS!
Over 200 children are warmer this winter because caring families from 365 Church, Harvest Community Church and Worship Life provided winter outerwear to the children of area families struggling to make ends meet. School officials were confidentially contacted to secure sizes of children who needed winter coats. Teenagers and adults then purchased coats and took them to Burke Street, Berkeley Heights, Winchester Avenue, Orchard View, Hedgesville Elementary and Bedington Elementary schools.
One teen, Kristen Larson, bought two coats with her own money she made while working for Tropical Smoothie in Martinsburg over the holiday break. Area educator, Misty Francis, provided coats for students at her school. Diana Walls worked with several families to secure winter coats for inner- city Martinsburg schools.
This effort was coordinated by One Hope Community Ministries.
